If you are a photographer, you know how important it is to print your work with quality paper and ink. Here at Baillie’s, we use a wide angle Epson printer, with archival Epson inks. We have a variety of Epson photo papers in mat, semi gloss or gloss finishes. We also stock other specialty papers on demand. We also offer printing on canvas, using good quality, thick canvas and real wood stretcher bars that won’t warp or sag. If quality is as important to you as it is to us, contact us for pricing. You’ll find our pricing very reasonable, especially when getting multiples of the same image. Your satisfaction is very important to us. As one of our customers puts it:
“We’ve tried other places before coming to Baillie’s and will never look back. Thanks so much for your great work. We recommend this place to anyone looking to professionally frame/ high quality print your work.”
Baillie’s has some great photography hanging in the gallery from now until December 24th. The show features three local photographers who demonstrate the effect of living by Lake Huron in their artistic vision. Sarah Chisholm grew up by Lake Huron in an extended family of artists. Her painterly vision is evident in her photographs and digital art. Derek Houston grew up surrounded by the sea in the Scottish Isles, but is now enjoying life on Lake Huron. Derek captures the moods of the Lake during the off season, when the tourists are gone, but there is still much to see and admire. Janette Baillie is drawn to colour. Her stunning sunsets and beach scenes capture the beauty of the Lake Huron shoreline.
Join us for this wonderful show, now until December 24th!
Canadians are deep into a federal election. Regardless of which party is getting your support, we promise to save you the tax on any item in the store until October 19th! Pay NO TAX on framing, printing, original art, artprints and photography! Drop in to Baillie’s and check out our selection of original art by local artists – one of a kind images you won’t find in the big box stores.
Baillie’s is once again organizing and sponsoring the Grand Bend and Area Studio Tour. This year, the focus is on the creative stars: the artists, chefs and musicians who create their art for your enjoyment. There are over 34 visual artists on the tour, along with chefs and musicians, offering you a creative mix of paintings, photography, metal work, glass art, textile art, culinary treats, concerts and more. Mark May 1st, 2nd and 3rd on your calendars!
See the Studio Tour website at http://www.grandbendstudiotour.com for all the information you need, including maps of the tour routes.
Baillie’s is proud to be hosting three artists this year during the tour. Please join us on May 2nd and 3rd to meet the artists and have some refreshments on us. Hope to see you then!
Janette Baillie will be showing some of her latest photographs on canvas and fine art photography paper. Janette has an eye for colour, which is evident in her striking photos of sunsets and the natural beauty of our area.
Anne Luxton is back with her unique and whimsical textile art. Each piece is hand crafted using a combination of textile dyeing, painting and needlework.
Laura Wright will be exhibiting some of her new work. Laura works in pastels and mixed media collages. Her subjects include landscapes, florals and vignettes of life’s special moments.
We offer custom printing that works for you. We can print to any length or width, which means you don’t need to adjust the aspect ratio of your photograph or artwork to fit a standard size paper, such as 8×10 inches, or 11×14 inches. Custom printing allows you complete freedom in the design of your artwork. And with our Epson 9900 printer, the colours will be rich and true. Choose your media, from regular to fine art photography paper, or our high quality canvas. We cut our own canvas stretcher bars to size, so no need to conform to a standard size on your canvas printing. Our pricing is competitive. Satisifaction guaranteed! Call or message us for a quote. Volume discounts available.
As many of you know, owner Glen Baillie is a big fan of music. Last year, he organized the Summer Sunset Sounds concerts, a series of free concerts on the beach in Grand Bend. The concerts were enjoyed by locals and visitors to Grand Bend, and the musicians all enjoyed playing on an open air stage as the sun went down on another perfect summer day. Glen is working with other community leaders to bring the music back to the Sunset stage in the summer of 2015.
To help raise funds, Baillie’s has created a calendar featuring 13 photos of beautiful Grand Bend in all four seasons. Calendars are priced at $15 with all profits going toward next year’s concert series. All the photography in the calendar has been donated by Janette Baillie. These calendars make a great gift for anyone who appreciates the beauty of Grand Bend. Each of the 13 photos can also be ordered as fine art prints which can be framed for yourself or as a gift. The calendars are for sale at Baillie’s, but if you can’t come in person to purchase your calendar, we are offering to mail it to you, or to a gift recipient. Just let us know where you want us to send it.
Thanks in advance for your support for this project. Hope to see you on the beach in Grand Bend next summer, enjoying the free concerts!

We had a bit of damage to our store this summer; water came in and the floor heaved. Before we can replace the floor, we need to move all the art and related inventory. It is better to sell it than store it, so all original art is 25% off, and all prints and posters are 50% to 75% off.
Just so you get the idea, we are also having a no tax sale on the weekend of November 7th,8th, and 9th, as part of Christmas Comes Early in Grand Bend. All custom framing, ready made frames, photo printing, and even the already discounted art is included. Artists include Elisabeth Carr, Barb McKnight, Laura Wright, Martin Zimmer, and Janette Baillie.
