Baillie’s is proud to be exhibiting the new work of several local artists. Jeffery George is an Objiway artist who uses bright colour and form in his aboriginal themed paintings. Laura Wright does double duty at Baillie’s. She is not only our number one employee, but is a talented artist who produces new work when she finds the time. Barbara McKnight is a gifted artist who is prolific in her output of beautiful paintings – florals, landscapes and foodscapes being favourite subjects. Janette Baillie’s photographs capture the colours, shapes and moods of Lake Huron, among other subjects. Baillie’s continues to carry the unique glass art of Anne Thornton. Her recent foray into glass art accented with wood and metal have been very popular. Drop into Baillie’s any time to view the art of these talented artists, plus several others. Hope to see you soon!
Thanks for your patience.

It’s winter here in Grand Bend. The quiet season is a great time to work on those projects that the summer just never seems to have time for. One such project is sorting through old photos, slides or negatives. You know – the ones that are stashed in shoe boxes in closets or under the bed. They could be old prints inherited from family, old photos from when the kids were little, or slides of that amazing backpacking trip through Europe. Memories are made to be celebrated and shared and we can help with that. Our scanner can digitize old prints, slides and negatives. We can repair age spots, rips and wrinkles. We can even remove your ex son-in-law! Your newly rejuvenated file can then be printed on our quality photo paper or canvas and framed to suit. Our pricing for these services is very competitive, starting from only $10 to scan, repair and print. Free great grandma from the closet!
Janette Baillie is joining nine other artists for an exhibit in Grand Bend called the Creative Eye. It opens Friday Nov 18th, 5-9pm and continues Saturday and Sunday Nov 19th and 20th from 11am to 6pm both days. Everyone is invited – a great chance to see new work by these diverse artists and get a head start on your holiday gift buying.
Janette is our resident photographer. One of her favourite subjects to capture is Lake Huron, in all its moods, and especially as the sun sets and the sky lights up with vivid colour.
Janette’s photos range from realism to painterly. She loves to play with light, colour and form.
Janette’s photos are printed here at Baillie’s using our top quality inks and fine art papers and canvas. They can be printed in any size, and custom framed to suit your decor. She also supplies digital images for websites, calendars, brochures and other advertising media.
